Chad Everhart Architect, PA is a small, progressive architecture firm headquartered in the Appalachian Mountain region. Our philosophy is to create a contextual architecture, one that merges with the physical and cultural landscape unique to each project. Achieved through the use of indigenous forms, materials, and construction techniques, our strategy is to use the building vernacular inherent to an area as a catalyst for creating modern, sustainably designed buildings.
Dr. Chad Everhart, NCARB serves as the firm's principal architect. He has also served as a tenured faculty member in the Building Science program at Appalachian State University, helping to lead the award-winning 2011 Solar Decathlon Team and the IDEXlab design-build program. His research and scholarly work is directly linked to his practice, with projects featured in numerous press publications, books, journals, and exhibitions. He has won several design awards and presented his research in student design-build pedagogy, sustainable building design, and modern rural architecture in venues across the United States.
